Campbell River move…

 Nov 18

Our deck of cards finally got a container

Fishing at the Taylor River.

Bumpy backroads back to campsite.

Lots of little waterfalls, narrow one lane bridges, Cedar saplings and POTHOLES! Bouncy!

Nov 19

Linda roasts Pumpkin for Pie and does laundry while Rog slaves away in Photoshop (with coffee at Timmie’s)

Linda wins at cribbage.

Mobile on the go printing at Staples (from our phone to their printer, self-serve).

Groceries and gas for the truck.

Returned home and found power out, for second time in a week… we’re running on battery power (or generator in worst case) to keep warm until power returns…

Nov 20

Visitor Info Centre (Rog bought a VI fishing guide) (VI = Vancouver Island)

Hwy #4 blocked by trees down in Cathedral Grove because of “Bomb Cyclone Winds”

Some shopping and reading.

We were pleasantly surprised with all the various “checking in on you” inquiries.

Went out for breakfast (Smitty’s)

Put insulation film on trailer windows

Did “Mondo dishes” (Linda’s term)

Nov 21

Organized truck & trailer for our next move

Marine Park

Marine Heritage Centre & Lighthouse

Harbour Quay stroll

Mountain View Bakery

Hwy #4 now open one lane alternating flow.

Nov 22

Easy drive to Pacific Playground RV Resort South of Campbell River (at Oyster River, Black Creek) with lots of tree debris all along the trip…

This is a boat launch!!

Nov 23

Campbell River Fly Shop… Whoa!

Groceries and coffee.

Driftwood sculptures along 19A, amazing!

Rainy beach-combing at Saratoga Beach

Tired surfboards at resort…

  1. amazing adventures. I'm sure the trailer rocked in the wind. Love the driftwood along the highway. Remember it well but these may be new structures. Hugs. :-)
