We got the “Frog Balls”!

 Nov 10

Hiked at Stamp Falls Provincial Park and saw the Falls and fish ladder.

Circled through the big trees at Stamp River Provincial Park campground.

“Frog Balls” sold out at craft fair!

Nov 11

Somass Park

Sproat Lake with American water bomber.

The highlight was meeting our Port Alberni “Angel”, and her Dad, who gifted us with big helpings of fresh Halibut & Salmon. Thanks Angel!

Robertson Fish Hatchery (DFO)

McLean Mill historic site (logging)

Nov 13

Power goes out, but we hardly notice as trailer system goes “click” and transfers us to battery! Hydro came back “click”, all is as normal again.

Cathedral Grove. Big Trees revisited in the rain. (Big wind knocked several down a few years ago).

Linda ends her losing streak, finally winning a cribbage game.

Nov 14

Ucluelet and big waves at Amphitrite Lighthouse. (15ft waves crashing ashore)

Ucluelet offered up more visual treats for us.

Taylor River, spotted BIG Trout lazy in the shallows, resting…

“Thunderous”? “Log Dump”? Seriously, who names the creeks on Vancouver Island?

Nov 15

A&W for coffee and losing at crib, again.

Groceries… Diet Coke $1.25 at one store, $2.45 at another??? Same 2L bottle!

Alberni Game & Fish River access was no go! Too high… and they “recommended” a $20 donation to access the river.

Back to McLean Mill for proper camera shots at the site.

Nov 16

Cherry Creek Christmas Market -Frog Balls and awesome Cinnamon bun.

Much needed showers (free and hot!)

Hot rotisserie chicken & wedges for supper.

Photoshopped photos

Computer backup, after frantically searching for backup drives…

Walking downtown Port Alberni. Murals, signs, sculptures and a Mill.

  1. Amazing photos as usual! This is such a treat - even with 15' waves which I wouldn't love! Looks like many of the places where you go are not being used so much these days - rust, moss, etc. Rugged beauty! Blessings, family! :-)
